Admission Requirements
The BA and BFA programs are open to all eligible freshmen and qualified
transfer students. However, the Art
Department recommends that students not prepared for a portfolio
review seek admission to a BA program. Once in residence, students
may apply for the Printmaking BFA program after a suitable portfolio
has been assembled. Most students do not submit a portfolio for
admission into a BFA program until they have been at CSULB for at
least two semesters.
Students seeking admission to the BFA program must:
- Meet the entrance requirements of the University. (see
University
Admissions)
- Provide transcripts of all college-level units to the Art
Department, California State University, Long Beach, 1250 Bellflower
Boulevard, Long Beach, CA 90840-3501.
In addition, a copy of your transcripts must be submitted to
the University Admissions office, California State University,
Long Beach, 1250 Bellflower Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90840.
- Submit an application for the portfolio review, then submit
a portfolio of creative work to the Printmaking Department. For
specific requirements, deadlines and applications, contact the Art
Department Student Services office (562) 985-7819.
